Laura, BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare, completed her placement with Elanco Animal Health, a veterinary pharmaceutical company that works globally across a number of species areas. Her role was within the companion animal unit as a marketing associate, which entailed managing and organising a number of marketing processes and communicating cross-functionally.
Laura undertook a large efficiency project for the business which focused on use of marketing materials, and alongside her day to day work, this gave her a great insight into the function of marketing within a global business and equipped her with a variety of skills which she has used throughout her final year.
Laura Little said: “My placement was really valuable and I gained a lot of experience in marketing which is something I would not have normally got to do as I’m an animal behavioural student. It gave me industry insight that I could use in my final year of study. I’ll be going back to Elanco in a similar role so my placement has really got me into the industry.”
